“One of the first women morticians in New Jersey!!”
I love this snapshot of my grandmother and her friend Rita. The haircuts, the ribbons around Rita’s socks, the fact that both these bright little girls had interesting careers waiting for them. It was taken in around 1925 on the front steps of 463 New England Terrace, Orange, New Jersey.

Great pic, I love the way your grandmother is looking at Rita, holding her hand. They look like they were close friends.
You’re really lucky to have so many great photos. My family have very few prior to the 60′s, I have one of my Great Grandparents on their wedding day in 1918 but that’s it, I’m very envious!
